Vancouver Aquarium – Even though we have had a mild winter, I am already thinking about Spring Break. It reminded me of the trip we made last year to the coast and a remarkable day at the Vancouver Aquarium. I took my then 11 year old daughter, Gabby, thinking she would enjoy the day but I think I enjoyed it more. The aquarium has undergone some major renovations and expansion over the last few years and is a real jewel, a don’t-miss adventure. From a photographic point of view, it seems like cheating to take photos of creatures behind glass but what a privilege to get so close to these wonders of nature and see things only a few have seen in the wild. Diving the west coast and visiting the Amazon rainforest wasn’t in my travel plans this year. I got the next best thing.
